River Wildlife Activities
River Wildlife is a private member wilderness preserve encompassing more than 500 acres of unspoiled land, five miles of the meandering Sheboygan River and more than 18 miles of scenic woodland trails. Access is available to resort guests with the purchase of a daily entry pass. Advance reservations are required for activities.

Clay targets hurtle away at 45-degree angles and varying heights offering a valuable warm–up before a pheasant hunt or providing novice/beginners with a great opportunity to learn basic shooting skills. Trapshooting can also be a fun, competitive activity for larger groups. Lodging reservations at The American Club or Inn on Woodlake are required for non-members prior to making reservations for trapshooting.

Five-Stand Sporting Clays

A compact 5-stand course provides an invigorating workout for the experienced shooter. Each station simulates different wild game as it’s being flushed: “running rabbit,” “springing teal,” etc.. Self-Guided Hiking – Indian Mound Trail / River Wildlife / Riverbend trails
River Wildlife's 500-acre wilderness preserve is maintained in a natural state for the preservation of native vegetation and wildlife. Hiking trails wind throughout the preserve. Maps of the hiking trails are provided. Lodging reservations at The American Club or Inn on Woodlake are required for non-members, as well as the purchase of an entry pass for access to the trail system.

Explore the natural beauty of River Wildlife’s woodlands, meadows and valleys on one of our well-trained western pleasure horses. Our expert guide will escort you on a one-hour trail ride. Incorporated in 1912, The Village of Kohler was developed as a garden community by Walter J. Kohler, son of Kohler Company founder John Michael Kohler. Commissioning the talents of Frederick Law Olmsted, the noted landscape architect who's designs include New York City's Central Park and the Biltmore Estate's grounds, Walter Kohler developed one of the nation's first planned communities.

The Kohler Design Center is a three-level showcase of innovative product design and technology, creative achievement and American history. A fusion of old and new, the space offers a comprehensive representation of Kohler Co.'s state-of-the-art products and stunning examples of the company's Open Monday-Thursday - 8am-5pm | Saturday, Sunday & Holidays - 10am-4pm
Kohler Factory Tour
The "Industry in Action" factory tour is for anyone who's ever wondered how a KOHLER® bathtub or faucet was made. The tour tells the history behind the nation’s largest plumbing-ware manufacturer and takes visitors through numerous buildings – pottery, brass and foundry – that create everything from vitreous china bathroom sinks to KOHLER Enameled Cast Iron baths. Includes information about Kohler's innovative Arts/Industry Program.

The Waelderhaus was built in the architectural style of the Bregenzerwald region of Austria, ancestral home of the Kohler family. This "house in the woods" features carvings, woodcuts, iron and pewter work designed by Kaspar Albrecht, a talented Austrian sculptor and architect.

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center presents contemporary American art with emphasis on craft-related forms, folk traditions, new genres and the work of self-taught artists.
Kohler-Andrae State Park
The fascinating rolling sand dunes and unique wildlife make Kohler-Andrae State Park a must for outdoor-minded visitors. Located just 11 miles south of the city of Sheboygan on the shores of Lake Michigan, the park features all-purpose trails that range from 1.3 to 4.3 miles in length.
Ellwood H. May Environmental Park (Maywood)
This unique, diverse park offers 120 acres of forests, wetlands and prairie with ponds, a river and an abundance of wildlife just 6 miles from the Village of Kohler. Miles of free trails are perfect for birding, hiking and skiing, with some being handicap accessible. There is no charge to walk the self-guided trails.
Located along the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Sheboygan, Deland Park includes a beach, bathhouse, tow lots, shelters, public boat launch, Sheboygan Yacht Club and Youth Sailing Center. Deland Park also offers a multi-purpose trail that takes walkers from the boat launch area to the north breakwater, past the Harbor Centre Marina. Deland Park is located 9 miles from the Village of Kohler.
